Servant Leadership Covenant

“But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.” Eph. 4.7

Core Students - Since Christ has given me new life and because others in the group have placed their confidence in me as a fellow student leader, to the best of my abilities I promise/covenant to:

Do my part in learning, listening, and being flexible with the whole group.

Look out for the good of the Youth Group as a whole and not just myself.

Meet on a regular and consistent basis with the council.

Pray for and encourage the youth staff.

Keep other students informed about the events that are coming up.

Encourage others to follow Christ and hold them accountable in their walk with Him.

Continue to grow in my relationship with Christ.

“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers.” Eph. 4.11

Youth Staff - The Youth staff including Pastor Mike, Tammy and the volunteers affirms your faithfulness and involvement in your service on this youth council. Since Christ has called us to lead you, we acknowledge the importance of your ministry and we promise/covenant with you and before Christ to:

Pray for and encourage you.

Provide a listening ear to your ideas.

Involve you in the decision processes.

Provide necessary resources for you.

Affirm your servant leadership.

“To prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the Body of Christ may be built up.” Eph 4.12

Church Congregation - With the recognition of being a part of New Life Community as the body of Christ we covenant to build each other up in love. We acknowledge that the congregation covenants to:

Pray for us.

Provide support for our ministry by encouraging us to participate within the church as a whole.

Provide us with the necessary environment for our ministry and personal growth.

Servant Leaders whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart just like you were working for the Lord, not yourself. Wait patiently and in due time you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.

  -A Paraphrase of Colossians 3:23-24a
